Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi - City Tour of Hanoi

When you arrive at the Hanoi International Airport. You will be greeted and driven to the hotel. Our local representative will meet you at the Noi Bai airport and accompany you to Hanoi, where you will check-in at the hotel. Proceed for a city tour beginning with the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university, and continuing to Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi's largest square where all major cultural events take place. Later, take a "cyclo" tour of the capital, beginning in the Old Quarter of Hanoi and ending at Ngoc Son Temple. Overnight in Hanoi at a hotel.

Day 2: Hanoi-Tam Coc-Hoa Lu-Hanoi

Today you will go to Ninh Binh, which is located south of Hanoi. There are several well-known sights in the area, such as Tam Coc Caves and Hoa Lu historic capital, which has antique temples attributed to King Dinh and King Le. The tour of Ninh Binh begins with a boat ride at Tam Coc, where beautiful limestone karsts stand out from the lush paddy fields and Halong Bay in Vietnam. Continue to Ninh Binh, which was the king's residence in the 10th century and is today famed for the wooden reliefs of the gloomy Dinh and Le temples. Return to Hanoi in the late afternoon. Overnight in Hanoi at a hotel. (B/L)

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay

Today you will travel to Halong Bay, which was awarded a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. When you arrive at Halong, you will board a boat to explore the amazing beauty of this "Descending-dragon" bay, which was formed by hundreds of odd-shaped limestone rocks and karst grottoes. Following a meal of delicious seafood on board, we may explore the Surprising Grotto, swim, or kayak, pass through floating settlements, and approach little islands to admire their beauty. Dinner will be served on the boat. Attend events on the boat in the evenings or rest at your leisure. Overnight stay on board. (B/L/D)

Day 4 : Halong - Hanoi

Today, you'll take a boat to Luon Cave, a ring-shaped pool inside an island in Halong with a completely serene setting and green water. Back to the Halong Wharf, travelling through the most heavily populated area with various islands named Cock-Fighting Rock, Sail Island, Incense Burner Rock, or Sea Dog Rock. Evening free for recreation. Overnight in Hanoi at a hotel. (B/L)

Day 5: Departure from Hanoi

You will be transferred to the airport this morning for your trip back home or to your next destination. (B)
