Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by a representative and transferred to your hotel in Jerusalem. Overnight in a Jerusalem hotel.
Today, begin your day with a panoramic view of Jerusalem from the summit of the Mount of Olives. Continue to Gethsemane Garden and the Church of the Agony. Continue to the Israel Museum's Shrine of the Book, which houses the world-famous Dead Sea scrolls, and then to the wonderfully restored Model of Herodian Jerusalem, which dates all the way back to the period of the Second Temple. Proceed to YadVashem - the Holocaust monument dedicated to the six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust. Afternoon, visit the lovely town of EinKarem, which is traditionally associated with the birth of John the Baptist. Overnight in a Jerusalem hotel. (A, B)
After breakfast, enter the walled Old City through one of the gates to tour the revitalised Jewish Quarter, the Western Wall, the Temple area, and the colourful bazaars. Take the Via Dolorosa and Stations of the Cross to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Proceed to Mt. Zion, where you may see King David's tomb, the Room of the Last Supper, and Dormitory Abbey. Continue to Bethlehem in the afternoon for a visit to the Church of the Nativity and a glimpse of the Shepherd's Fields. Overnight in a Jerusalem hotel. (A, B)
Today, depart Jerusalem and travel north, passing via Jericho, the world's oldest city. Travel to Beit Shean via the Jordan Valley. Visit the excavations of this pristine Roman city. Proceed to Nazareth, where you will see the Church of the Annunciation and Joseph's carpentry workshop. On to Safed, the Kabala's city, for a stroll through mystic lanes, a visit to a synagogue, and a visit to an artists' colony. Overnight in a Galilee hotel. (A, B)
Drive to the Golan Heights this morning, passing through Druze communities. On the heights, visit an old Syrian fortress. Enjoy an Israeli wine region adventure surrounded by stunning views of vineyards. Discover the collection of outstanding and unusual wines with a tour, wine tasting, and education about the winemaking process. Pass through Banias, the Jordan River's source, on your way to the Mount of Beatitudes. At Capernaum, visit the remnants of the old synagogue and Peter's home. Visit Tabgha, site of the fish and bread miracle. Continue to Tiberias for a brief tour of the ancient hub of Jewish learning (optional sailing across the Sea of Galilee in a boat to enjoy the tranquillity and landscape that have remained mostly unchanged for the last 2000 years – subject to circumstances and an extra price). After breakfast, drive west to Acre for a tour of the historic Crusader fortress and mediaeval defences. Continue to Haifa for a panoramic city tour that includes the Baha'i Shrine, the Persian Garden, Mount Carmel, and Haifa Bay. Proceed south to Caesarea, where you may view the old port's RomanTheater and Hippodrome. Proceed to Tel Aviv-Jaffa for a brief city tour and check-in at your hotel. Overnight in a Tel Aviv hotel.
