Day 1 :Arrive Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri – Darjeeling (about 93 kilometres / 3 hours)

You will be taken to Darjeeling from Bagdogra airport / New Jalpaiguri railway station. At an elevation of 2134m, 'Dorje Ling', or location of the Thunderbolt, offers stunning views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks, the highest of which is Kanchendzonga. Often dubbed the "Queen of the Hills," it retains its allure with its little waterfalls, small towns, and narrow gauge railway track. Darjeeling, surrounded by World Famous Tea Gardens and snow-capped mountains, continues to be one of the most unique locations. Check into the hotel upon arrival. The remainder of the day is free. Day 2 :Darjeeling

Today, early in the morning, visit Tiger Hill to witness a magnificent sunrise and Himalayan peaks such as Kanchandzonga and Mount Everest. Just before sunrise, one can observe the horizon changing hues and eventually the entire Himalayan range turning golden. It is definitely a spectacular site, and Ghoom Monastery is the area's oldest monastery, having been founded in 1875. On the way back from Tiger Hill, one can witness the 15-foot-tall figure of Mythey Buddha. After breakfast at the hotel, proceed on a city tour, stopping at the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed Thursdays), the Zoological Park (closed Thursdays), the Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed Sundays), Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock, Tea Estate (from the outside), Japanese Temple, and Peace Pagoda. Day 3 :Darjeeling - Pelling (about 75 kilometres / 3 hours)

This morning, immediately following breakfast, proceed to Pelling. Located 120 kilometres from Gangtok Pelling is another tranquil mountain hamlet in Sikkim's western regions. This town is located around 2000 metres above sea level and provides a wonderful view of Mt. Kanchenjunga. Overnight in a Pelling hotel. (B&D)

Day 4 : Pelling

Today, go on a full-day city trip, which includes stops to Khechipalri Lake, Rimbi Falls, Kanchenjungs Falls, Orange Garden, Pemayangste Monastery, and Rabtense Ruins. Overnight in a Pelling hotel. (B&D)

Day 5 :Pelling - Gangtok (about 127 kilometres / 5 hours)

This morning, immediately following breakfast, proceed to Gangtok. Gangtok, located at an elevation of 1750m, became the state capital in the mid-nineteenth century and has seen remarkable growth since then. The central business district is characterised by massive government buildings adorned with traditional Buddhist iconography. Gangtok also serves as a stopover for those heading to North Sikkim. Gangtok, surrounded by monasteries and orchids, is a true traveller's paradise. Proceed to Gangtok for a half-day sightseeing tour, stopping at the Flower Show, Do Drul Chorten, Institute of Tibetology (closed Sunday), Cottage Industry (closed Sunday), and Bakthang Falls. Day 6: Gangtok - Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir Excursion

Today Proceed on a full-day trip to Changu Lake, 35 kilometres from Gangtok and situated at an elevation of 12,400 feet. The lake's waters are supplied by the melting snows of the neighbouring mountains. According to legend, lamas could predict the future by observing the hue of the lake's waters. Additionally, pay a visit to Baba Mandir. You may also purchase a Nathula Pass for an extra fee. Overnight in a Gangtok hotel. (B&D)

Day 7: Gangtok – Kalimpong (about 83 kilometres/three hours)

Today Continue to Kalimpong. Kalimpong's position, at an elevation of 1250m, is excellent for a lovely, quiet holiday. Due to the pleasant climate, Kalimpong's orchids and gladiole are well-known. The Kalimpong region was a part of the Sikkim raja's dominion till the early 1700s. Bhutan's monarch also acquired control of it in the early 18th century. It was seized by Darjeeling in 1865, during the Anglo-Bhutan War. Scottish missionaries arrived in the late nineteenth century. Until the 1950s, the town prospered as a wool trade hub with Tibet. Today, it is a peaceful highland resort and retreat for retirees. Later in the afternoon, go on a sightseeing trip of Kalimpong, stopping at Zang Dog PalriFoBrang Monastery, Mangal Dham, and other fower nurseries. Overnight in a Kalimpong hotel. (B&D)

Day 8: Depart from Kalimpongen route to Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri (approximately 80 kilometres / 3 hours).

This morning, you will be taken to Bagdogra airport / New Jalpaiguri railway station in order to catch a flight or train return to your home or next destination. (B)
