Upon arrival in Auckland, 'The City of Sails,' seat in coach clients will be welcomed and personally taken to their accommodation by our local agent. Clients who self-drive will pick up their rental car at the airport and drive to their hotel.

This morning, travel north along the Hibiscus Coast, crossing Auckland's Harbour Bridge. En route, there is an opportunity to admire magnificent Kauri trees. The drive continues through Whangarei, Northland's sole major city and harbour, to the stunning Bay of Islands. This afternoon, take a guided tour of the Waitangi Contract Grounds to learn about New Zealand's historic treaty with the Maori Chieftains. Following that, go on a cruise to 'Hole in the Rock and Cape Brett.' If desired, you may disembark from your voyage at Romantic Russell and spend time exploring this old town before returning to Paihia via local ferry (ferry ticket included). Overnight in a Bay of Islands hotel. (B)

The day is free to relax or you can enjoy one of our Optional Tours. Optional: enjoy the Bay of Islands and Northland. You might like to book an optional Cape Reinga & 90 Mile Beach day tour or take time to explore historic Russell or Kerikeri. Overnight in a Bay of Islands hotel. (B)
