After an early breakfast at the hotel, travel for Andalusian through the pleasant route that winds across the eastern plateau, via pine and eucalyptus forests, rice fields, and traditional Marina and Bezanozano villages; Upon arrival, a visit to a forest owned by the local community, where you may see Madagascar's largest lemur, the "indri-indri," whose calls can be heard for kilometres; lunch at a neighbourhood eatery; In the afternoon, check into Vakona Forest Lodge and prepare for a journey to Vakona private park, where you'll get up close and personal with a variety of lemur species; In the evening, take a night walk to view the region's endemic nocturnal animals.
