Amazing Hanoi – Halong Bay

When you arrive at the airport, complete your airport procedures before being taken
to your accommodation. Check into your hotel. In the evening, begin a city tour at the
Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university, and continue to Ba Dinh Square, the
city's largest square, where all major cultural and political events take place, for
photographs of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (outside). Later, take a "cyclo" tour of
the capital, which will begin in the Old Quarter of Hanoi and end at Ngoc Son Temple
on Hoan Kiem Lake (the "Sword" Lake). Overnight in Hanoi at a hotel.

Today, check out of the hotel and go to Halong Bay, the glory of the Gulf of Tonkin
and a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site between 1994 and 2006. The route will
travel through the Red River delta, with its verdant paddy fields and rural
communities teeming with hardworking farmers engaged in farming or seedling
planting. When we get at Halong, we will board a large boat and cruise the bay to
experience the beautiful beauty of this Descending-dragon bay, which was formed
by hundreds of odd-shaped limestone rocks and Small island grottoes. Following
lunch, we will explore the Surprising Grotto, stop for swimming or kayaking (at your
own expense), pass through floating settlements, and approach little islands to
appreciate their beauty up close. Attend events on the boat in the evenings or rest at
your leisure. Overnight stay on board. (B,L,D)

Today, after breakfast, take a boat ride to Luon Cave, a ring-shaped pool inside an
island in Halong with a completely serene setting and green water. Back to the
Halong Wharf, travelling through the most heavily populated area with various
islands named Cock-Fighting Rock, Sail Island, Incense Burner Rock, or Sea Dog
Rock. Checked into the hotel after being transferred there. The evening is free for
recreation. Overnight in Hanoi at a hotel. (B,L)
